The department of Chemistry was started in 2013 and upgraded to post graduate level in 2016.The department has got well equipped and modernised laboratories for both UG and PG.The faculty strength of the department is 8.
A papaer on "Chemistry in every day life" is offered as open course for students from other majored under graduate programmes who are interested in learning chemistry. A certificate course also offered in "Water quality analysis".The department also have a rearch and extension lab for water quality analysis.
