As per direction from University Grants Commission, a Grievance Redressal Cell is constituted in the college for providing a mechanism for redressal of students' grievances related with admission and unfair practices. Any student with a genuine grievance may approach the faculty members in person or may submit the grievance in or Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer in-charge of Student's Grievance Cell.

The Objective of the cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among students and others in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute. The Grievance Cell will assure that the grievance received has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell.

A three tier Grievance Redressal mechanism is implemented in the institution : Departmental Greivance Redressal Committee (DGRC), College Greivance Redressal Committee (CGRC) and University Greivance Redressal Committee (UGRC).

GRIEVANCE SUBMISSION MECHANISMS

Grievance Redressal Mechanism in HEIs are systems that allows students to raise complaints, or grievances related to academic, administrative or personal issues and have them resolved in a fair and timely manner. It enables the college to understand the short comings in its policies and practices and perform better ever new day. The following are the important grievance redressal mechanisms used in the Markaz Arts and Science College.

1. Complaint box in front of the building where students can drop complaints.
2. Grievance Redressal Cell formed as per guidelines to handle grievances.
3. Online portal or systems for submitting grievances.
4. Class advisor who acts as a point of conduct for grievance.
5. Open door approach where students can directly approach the faculty or Principal
6. Letters of complaint can be sent by post.
7. E-mail of the college for sending the grievance or through website
8. Phone calls can be used
9. Awareness through induction programme for freshers and special orientation for
senior students.
