Laboratories give students the opportunity to perform experiments that explore important concepts and intoduce proper lab techniques and safety. We have the following labs:

UG laboratory:-The department has a well equipped practical laboratory accommodate 25 undergraduate students, which was extended to the left side and the capacity were increased up to 40 students. The types of equipment/instruments in the laboratory includes shelves and glass wares for each students, in addition to two centrifuges, three colorimeters, microscopes, pH meter, 4 bulbs, and two fans. Damaged fridge was removed and new fridge purchased. Also provides adequate ventilation in the laboratory.
PG laboratory: - The PG laboratory can accommodate 12 students and the laboratory was fully furnished with cupboards and shelves. In addition to domestic refrigerator, a new refrigerator was also established. This laboratory was equipped with 6 bulbs and three fans for adequate light and ventilation. The laboratory consist of necessary glass wares and reagents along with instruments like UV Visible Spectrophotometer, Microscopes, Water bath, Hot Air Oven, Micropipettes, Deep freezer, cooling centrifuge, Colorimeters, Respirometer, Sphygmomanometer, Stethoscopes, pH pen, etc…
Psychology laboratory have the equipment’s such as Techitoscope,Memory drum, steadiness tests, mirror drawing apparatus ,maze learning apparatus.
Microbiology laboratory provides facilities needed for the UG Microbiology as well as for students from B.Sc. & M.Sc. Biochemistry. Practical sessions are held during the afternoons on weekdays. The laboratory sessions are handled by able and efficient faculties and lab attender. All the instruments are available for students for their experimental purpose which helps them to get hands-on- experience.
The practical laboratory can accommodate 40 students at a time. The types of equipment/instruments in the laboratory includes shelves and glass wares for each student, in addition contain 2 incubators,6 working microscopes, 2 bulbs,1 hot air oven,1 laminar air flow,1 waterbath,2 turning table, 2 fridge and 3 fans.
Physcics lab have the equipments such as CRO ( cathode ray oscilloscope) which provides accurate time and measurement of voltage signals over a wide range of frequencies. Lab have voltmeter, galvanometer ammeter and all to detect the flow of current in the air.sodium vapour lamp. Instruments such as searls apparatus Ballistic galvanometer are also used in the physics laboratory.
Botany Lab
The department has highly equipped laboratory for UG students on the ground floor. The instruments/ apparatus in the laboratory include glass wares and sophisticated microscopes for each student. In addition to microscopes, herbarium press, physiological apparatus such as thistle funnel, fermentation vessel, light screen apparatus and potometer are available in the laboratory. Also a diverse collection of plant specimens are preserved in the laboratory along with herbarium sheets.
